Job Summary:


The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures. They collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the plumbing systems remain functional and comply with local regulations and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation: Install plumbing systems in new constructions and renovations, ensuring adherence to architectural plans and compliance with local codes.
  2. Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and repair various plumbing systems including water, gas, and sewage lines.
  3. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair plumbing problems in residential and commercial establishments. This includes unclogging drains, fixing leaks, replacing broken pipes, and more.
  4. Equipment Operation: Safely operate tools and equipment needed for specific plumbing tasks, such as pipe cutters, wrenches, and soldering irons.
  5. Compliance: Stay updated with local plumbing codes and regulations. Ensure all installations and repairs meet these standards.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with contractors, builders, and other technicians to ensure plumbing projects are executed seamlessly.
  7. Documentation: Maintain records of services performed, materials used, and hours worked.
  8. Customer Service: Provide top-notch customer service, explaining complex plumbing issues in an understandable manner and ensuring the space is clean after work completion.
  9. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends in plumbing technologies and methods.
  10. Safety: Follow safety procedures and protocols, using personal protective equipment when necessary and ensuring the safety of all individuals in the work area.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a plumber.
  • Familiarity with plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A solid understanding of water distribution and wastewater disposal systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
  • Valid plumbing license (as required by local regulations).
  • Knowledge of local plumbing codes.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Capacity to lift heavy tools and materials.
  • Ability to work in varying environments including hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions.


Work Environment:

Plumbers may work indoors or outdoors and may occasionally be required to work during irregular hours or weekends based on the project's demands.
